„Book On!” is a unique literature event in Luxembourg whose aim is to promote children’s literature, foster reading culture and provide Luxembourg families with high quality cultural activities. Festival’s main target audience are children aged 0-12 and their families.

The festival will feature authors from Luxembourg, Lithuania, Poland, Germany, Italy, and Catalonia and will present literary works in various forms and art styles. Festival‘s program will include creative workshops with writers and illustrators, storytelling, theatre performances, film screenings, and a children’s literature book fair.

Activities will be conducted in Luxembourgish, French, German, Italian, English and Lithuanian.

This year’s program highlights include theater performances by “Pea Green Boat” theater crew from Barcelona and theatre crew “Pradžia” from Vilnius, as well as literary performances by the winner of the prestigious Andersen Prize, Italian author Luigi Dal Cin, workshops by the Polish book author and illustrator, winner of Special Mention at the 2024 BolognaRagazzi Award Piotr Karski, winner of der Deutsche Jugendliteraturpreis 2021 Jurga Vilė (Lithuania), prominent writers, illustrators, and performers from Luxembourgh – Marc Weydert, Mireille Weiten, Dany Gales, Marielle Piccolo and others.

The event is organized by the Lithuanian Community in Luxembourg in association with a reading promotion program “Children’s World” (LT) and in partnership with Commune de Strassen, Libreria Italiana Lussemburgo, and Polish association in Luxembourg (polska.lu)
